Dungog Picnic Train
Overview
These July school holidays you will have the opportunity to ride behind a heritage steam locomotive when the newly relaunched R766 steam locomotive embarks on a short journey up the picturesque North Coast line from Maitland to Dungog.
There are two half day tour trips leaving per day from Maitland, with the first departure at 8.50am and return at 12.30pm. Additionally the train will leave at 2.15pm and return at 6.30pm.
The town centre of Dungog is only a short walk from the railway station and you will have ample time to check out this delightful country town before the return trip to Maitland.
