Brough House’s second Artist in Residence Programme will be launched as part of special International Women’s Day celebrations, as Brough House welcomes Newcastle based textile artist Vicki Cornish.

On the evening there will be sparkling wine and delicious finger food upstairs in the Fibre Makers’ Space.

Vicki’s three month residency will take inspiration from the Grossmann Collection, houses and gardens, with an open studio, workshops and an exhibition as the culmination of the programme.

The ”gentle arts” usually associated with women’s work will be paid homage through a display of domestic and decorative textiles from the Grossmann Collection on show downstairs in the Cecily Mitchell space of Brough House.

This wonderful display will be on view for a gold coin donation throughout March and April.
