Maitland & Beyond Family History Society is launching its 2nd publication: “Many were sent, some stayed. The Female Convicts who were connected to Maitland.”

There is now 1000 identified female convicts and his publication features a snapshot written about each, including a coloured photograph of the bonnet which has been lovingly made in her memory.

There will also be a display of some of the female convicts’ bonnets.
