Maitland’s ‘Old High Street’ Heritage Walk

Join our knowledgeable guide Michael Belcher, as the Friends of Grossmann & Brough Houses take you on a walk down the old Maitland High Street as it crosses over Wallis Creek and then becomes Newcastle Road. Lined with history – old inns, a toll house, historic houses and cottages, and farmlands along the road – the area encapsulates the stories of the early Maitland settlement.
After the guided heritage walk, enjoy a sumptuous afternoon tea of hot and cold finger food, seasonal fruit, slices, tea, coffee, water and juice at the National Trust’s Brough House (73 Church Street, Maitland).
Ticket prices are $25 Adult and $20 National Trust Members. Bookings are essential as numbers are limited.
