For a special Mother’s Day treat, visit historic Grossmann House, Maitland’s fully restored Victorian house museum, followed by a suitably styled offering of home made delectables including savory and sweet tartlets and delicious finger sandwiches, tea, brewed coffee and juice. A complementary glass of sparkling wine or water will be offered on arrival in the beautiful gardens of Brough House, this National Trust property.

Built by Isaac Beckett, a prosperous Maitland merchant, Grossmann House is situated in the historic precinct of Church Street. Its twin, Brough House, was built by business partner Samuel Owens. For many years both properties were part of the Maitland Girls’ High School complex.
