North West Picnic Train – Maitland to Werris Creek (return)
Overview
Travel behind classic heritage diesel-electric locomotives from Maitland to Werris Creek and return it speeds through the Hunter Valley in style on the North West Picnic Train. The train will be hauled by a 4903 and streamliner 42107.
Setting off from Maitland Railway Station, the train will also make stops to pick up at Singleton and Muswellbrook, stopping to drop off at Quirindi before continuing to Werris Creek.
The train will be in Werris Creek for approximately two hours for you to explore. Whilst you are there, be sure to check out the heritage listed railway station, the Australian Railway Monument and Rail Journeys Museum located within the station precinct.
