Get away from the hustle and bustle of Steamfest for home made refreshments at the National Trust’s Grossmann & Brough Houses, located only a quick 5 minute walk from Maitland Station.

On Saturday, you can enjoy freshly cut sandwiches, scones or slices, tea, coffee and soft drinks in the garden. Visit the Fibre Makers Place at Brough House is open with free entry, where the current Artist in Residence will be creating some stunning works.

Grossmann House Museum will be open for tours on Sunday 30 April, offering a glimpse into the life of a successful businessman in the 1870’s. A bonus is the presentation and history of the two hand sewn replica 18th Century dresses, a collaboration between the National Trust and NIDA graduating students. Tours are priced at $34 for family groups, $12 for adult and $10 for concession and National Trust members are free.
