Friends of Grossmann & Brough Houses, 71-73 Church St, Maitland invite you to a free exhibition of the extraordinary work of our Artist in Residence, Ellen Howell. For the past 3 months, Ellen has sought inspiration for her work from the historic items in our museum collection and the lovely gardens surrounding the houses. Exquisite items woven from hand-dyed silk thread, block-printed on the finest cotton using dye from the garden’s plants. Thread and copper wire woven vessels will amaze and delight. Open 10am to 3pm in Brough House each Saturday and Sunday in July, an experience not to be missed.
