The Wind in the Willows: Walking Book Club

Overview

Nothing says Spring quite like ‘The Wind in the Willows’.
Maitland Libraries will host its first ever walking book club where we take a deep dive into this watery children’s classic by the banks of our very own Hunter River. A walking book club is just like a regular book club, except we take it outside and walk while we talk. Somehow conversation is much easier when we’re walking, and we’re also getting the benefits of fresh air and exercise.

Over the school holidays, enjoy reading ‘The Wind in the Willows’ with your family then join us at Maitland Library on a leisurely stroll on the riverbank and chat all things Ratty and mole. Who knows, you might even see some locals messing about in boats!

This walking book club will conclude with a light morning tea on the riverbank.

Please bring a hat, sunscreen and water bottle.  This is a free family event.

Maitland Libraries have a variety of copies of The Wind in the Willows for loan, so you can get reading as soon as you like.
