Overview
John Adams lived and worked in Maitland for decades. As an artist, Adams had long been fascinated by the distant shadow of mountain ranges which loom large in the background around Maitland. Inspired by the work of Japanese ukiyo-e artist Hokusai (1760–1849) Thirty-six views of Mount Fuji, Adams presents Thirty-six views of the Brokenback Range.
