Welcome back Spring in historic Maitland with three weekends of community celebrations during October.
Centred in Church Street, start the weekend by seeing the magnificent roses in the Grossmann House Heritage Rose Garden, and associated displays in Brough House, including a rendition of 1950s and ’60s shops of High St, Maitland.
There will also be refreshments and products for sale and a twilight rose themed dinner at St Marys Anglican Church Hall on Saturday, 12 October (ticketed separately).
The second weekend (19 and 20 October) will have a practical theme with a Marmalade Competition, artistic displays and events to suit children and the young at heart.
The final weekend will focus on different plant types – succulents, bonsai, Australian plants among others – and a vintage car display all at St Mary’s Church.
A brochure of the full itinerary will be available from September.
