‘Frank’s Fantastic Fairy Tale Theatre, a Maitland-based puppet theatre, will present a series of free performances over the September/October school holidays. They will present ‘The Lost Tales of Wallis Plains’ – three plays about Maitland’s history – on the following days, times and locations:
Saturday 15 September at 11.00am at Turner Rest Park, Church Street (corner of Church Street and Caroline Place): Church Street Dramas by Frank Oakes.
Saturday 29 September at 11.00am in the carpark behind Sun Street Studios, 246 High Street, Maitland: ‘The Irrepressible Molly Morgan’ by Helen Hopcroft.
Saturday 6 October at 11.00am in the carpark behind Sun Street Studios, 246 High Street, Maitland: ‘Tale of Lost Bullock’ by Leilani Boughton.
Wallis Plains is one of the old names for Maitland, and these performances are staged close to where historical events took place. The Lost Tales of Wallis Plains is supported by a grant from Maitland City Council’.
