Maitland 200 Years – Female Convict Bonnet Working Bee

Maitland & Beyond Family History Inc is having its 2nd Working Bee to make Female Convict Bonnets. Their goal is to have 200 bonnets completed for a display at the Maitland 200th Bicentenary.

You are most welcome to join them by embroidering, cutting out the bonnets, tracing patterns, or sewing bonnets, or even making a cuppa.

Donations of cottons, laces & ribbons are most welcome.

Their bonnets will become part of the Christina Henri’s “Roses for the Heart” project. You don’t need to have a female convict in your family to help out. Tea/Coffee and biscuits available.

Ring the Maitland & Beyond Family History Inc for further information.
