‘Journeys: Maitland is My Home’ is an exhibition that celebrates Maitland’s cultural diversity. Share the fascinating journeys of Maitland residents, old and new, as revealed in interviews with documentary filmmaker Karen Nobes. The exhibition features photography by Elizabeth Mackenzie, Jaslyn Walters and Kylie Foley, with short films by Brendan Dennerley.
Journeys opens with drinks and canapés at 6.00pm on Thursday 6 September at Brough House, followed by a formal opening by Mayor Loretta Baker at 7.00pm. Tickets are $10.00 ($8.00 for Maitland Regional Museum members) and for catering purposes – bookings by Monday 3 September.
The exhibition is supported by a grant from NSW Country Arts and will be on display at Brough House, from 10.00am – 3.00pm on Saturdays and Sundays, until Sunday 28 October.
