Max Mannix celebrated his 80th Birthday this year, and his work just keeps reaching new heights. Whilst his output of paintings has slowed up, he still loves to paint. Many of his paintings reflect the 20 years he spent mustering cattle in outback Queensland, on large stations near Quilpie and Thargomindah.
These memories have inspired Max to paint very Australian scenes, themed along bush humour. When you look at Max’s work it reminds you of events that you may have witnessed or experienced in your life.
Join Max at Morpeth Gallery to talk to him about his work, invest in a painting or two and maybe have your photo taken with this iconic artist. With every painting purchased Max will gift you one of his books (RRP $70) as well as draw a quick sketch inside the cover to personalise.
