Part of the celebrations for Maitland 200 Years On, the Friends of Grossmann House are showcasing the photography of Maitland’s own Athel D’ Ombrain.
Taken in the 1960s/70s and selected from the Grossmann House collection, these black and white photographs depict many of the Hunter’s architectural treasures, sadly many in a state of disrepair. Thankfully most of these buildings have been restored.
The exhibition will run on the following dates:
– Saturday 5 May 2018
– Sunday 6 May 2018
– Saturday 12 May 2018
– Sunday 13 May 2018
– Saturday 19 May 2018
– Sunday 20 May 2018
– Saturday 26 May 2018
– Sunday 27 May 2018
From May 5 a number of local school students will present photographs about what makes #MyMaitland great for them. This will allow us to see our city through the eyes of the younger generation.
