Water Ways – Celebrating Maitland’s 200 years

A new exhibition has opened in Morpeth Museum to celebrate Maitland’s bicentenary.
WATER WAYS.

The Museum combines with Hunter Water who are showing their exhibition – Hunter Water, 125 Years – in the old Courthouse building, now Morpeth Museum.

Adults and children can experience a 360 degree 3D tour of Hunter Water by wearing their special headgear. In addition, children can play the video game ‘Chase the Poo’.

Water subjects shown in the displays include, Port Morpeth, Boats, Wells, Pottery, Laundry, Floods and more.

Normal opening hours are Thursday – Sunday 11.00am – 2.00pm but the Museum can open anytime by appointment for groups.
