Workhouse Woes: Gardening

Workhouse Woes continue these school holidays with children being introduced to one of the most popular jobs in the Gaol – working in the garden.

After a one hour guided mini tour, children will get the opportunity to hear about how important the garden was for food production. They’ll then put on their gloves and get some seeds planted in seed trays. The seeds, carefully sown by hand, will be raised until they are big and strong enough to be planted in the Gaol garden.

Bookings Essential, suitable for children aged between 5 – 12 years.
