Maitland Markets

Overview

Maitland Market is held at the Maitland Showground and displays the best of home made, home grown and home baked goods, artisans, musicians, gourmet food and the finest quality craft ever assembled. With over 600 stalls, the market represents the Hunter Valley’s cultural and artistic diversity.

There are second hand goods on sale, but most of the goods at Maitland are new and a large proportion of them are the work of the creative and predominantly local people who sell them. Maitland Markets are also a vehicle for local charities, and for visitors who like to come and experience shopping the way it used to be.

The market is held from 8am to 2pm on the first Sunday of each month excluding January and also on the third Sundays in October, November and December.
