‘The Heart of Maitland’ was curated by local Newcastle artist Jordan Lucky in the carpark of the Maitland Riverside Plaza.
The mural’s concept was inspired by Maitland’s colourful ecosystem reliant on the Hunter River. It features a stunning variety of birds of prey that are embraced by the local community.
