Verses of Love: A night of poetry, creativity and coffee
The Verses poets are back, with stories and stanzas to share focussed on the topic of love. Poets such as Bill Carney, Ilyas Papantoniou, Gillian Swain, Alex Simpson, Annie Denneley and Helen Hopcroft will be in attendance on the night, as well as any and all willing to share at the mic.
A number of other collaborative activities will take place on the night, including ekphrasis, mindmapping, and various forms of writing (beginner friendly!).
Hosted by the Cunning Cullinarian (near the gallery). Doors will open at 5:30 for a 6pm start, finishing at 8pm. Coffee will be available to buy, and finger food will be provided (a small donation will be appreciated).
Open mic sign up is at 5:30, with 5 minute slots being available. FIrst come, first serve! Readers are asked to focus on the topic of love, with at least one poem on the topic. Any non-love poems should contribute to an uplifting atmosphere. This is a child friendly event, so avoid profanity or any extremely adult descriptions.
The Cunning Cullinarian, the Verses poets and all, look forward to seeing you there!
