Overview

Learn a variety of creative stitch techniques, including Japanese sashiko and boro, to make your own decorative textile item (fish, bird, star, heart) from felt or other fabrics such as cotton and linen.

This workshop is a great way to find out about different hand embroidery and embellishment techniques including Japanese sashiko and boro.

A variety of fabrics, lace, buttons, and threads will be available for you to choose from, and all necessary equipment will be provided. If you have any particular fabric you want to use, or if you have your own needlework kit, please feel free to bring it along.
