Open seven days a week from 10.00am to 3.00pm (closed Christmas Day and Good Friday).

The Maitland Visitor Information Centre is conveniently located next to Central Park Café and Ministers Park, just off the New England Highway in Maitland. It’s the perfect place to source local tourist information and friendly travel advice.

Pick yourself up a brochure or map, or make yourself at home in the lounge. Take your time to compile a personalised itinerary or pick the brains of our expert staff who can produce one for you. Choose from a great range of souvenirs and local products, and take advantage of the free WIFI. 

There is a host of other services and facilities at the VIC including:

  • Accessible toilets and parents room.
  • Parking (including disabled parking bays and long vehicle bays).
  • Dump point for Recreational Vehicles.
  • A picnic area and place to stretch your legs in Ministers Park.

Central Park Café is also open 8.30am to 3.00pm on weekdays and 8.00am to 3.00pm on weekends and is the perfect spot to grab a coffee, order a meal or take a break.

We're COVID Safe

Maitland Visitor Information Centre is operating under a COVID-19 Safety Plan that protects the health and safety of visitors and staff.

Staff are available to assist visitors to check in using the Service NSW app or Online Concierge. In accordance with the NSW Government Public Health Orders, valid forms of evidence of double vaccination status or a medical exemption is required for entry by anyone aged 16 years and over. Face masks are also required for anyone aged 12 years and over.

Visitors are encouraged to use the hand hygiene station available upon entry, practice good personal hygiene and socially distance. Those who are experiencing cold and flu like symptoms or have been in contact with a confirmed case are not permitted to enter the facility.
