The Maitland Visitor Information Centre is conveniently located next to Central Park Café and Ministers Park, just off the New England Highway in Maitland. It’s the perfect place to source local tourist information and friendly travel advice. Grab a coffee and take your time to compile a personalised itinerary or choose from a great range of local products. Our expert team will make you feel welcome in Maitland.

There is a host of other services and facilities at the VIC including:

  • Accessible toilets and baby change facilities.
  • Parking (including disabled and long vehicle bays).
  • Dump point for Recreational Vehicles.
  • A picnic area and place to stretch your legs in Ministers Park.

Central Park Café is also open 8.30am to 3.00pm on weekdays and 8.00am to 3.00pm on weekends and is the perfect spot to take a break, order a meal, grab a coffee and come in and chat with us.

We're COVID Safe

UPDATE: As at 6.00pm Saturday 26 June 2021 all persons visiting the Visitor Information Centre are encouraged to provide and wear a mask.

Maitland Visitor Information Centre is operating under a COVID Safe Plan and is making every effort to keep visitors and staff safe. Staff are available to assist visitors to check in for contact tracing purposes using the Service NSW app which retains data for 28 days. Visitors are encouraged to use the hand sanitiser available upon entry, practice good personal hygiene and distance themselves whilst within the centre. Those who are experiencing symptoms of COVID-19, have come into contact with a confirmed case or have come from an identified hot spot are discouraged from entering the facility. 

We acknowledge the Wonnarua People as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land within the Maitland Local Government Area. We pay respect to all Aboriginal Elders, past, present and future with a spiritual connection to these lands.
