Overview

Glebe Cemetery is Maitland’s oldest burial ground with the earliest recorded burial in 1829, although earlier unmarked graves are likely.

Monuments can be sited as a record of the early families from the area. Maitland & Beyond Family History’s Peter Fox, will be your cemetery guide. Fox has been researching the cemetery’s history and many of its more notable residents which will become apparent in this very informative tour, highlighting specific graves and points of interest.
