Join artist Steffie Yee and comedian Jennifer Wong in conversation about the people and stories behind local and regional Chinese Restaurants across Australia.
Steffie Yee’s Chinese Restaurant Playground is a multimedia exhibition which captures her childhood growing up with her family’s Chinese restaurant in Branxton NSW.
Jennifer Wong is the co-author of Chopsticks or Fork?: Recipes and Stories from Australia’s Regional Chinese Restaurants, and also the presenter of the Chopsticks or Fork? series on ABC iview.
Steffie and Jennifer will be joined by special guest Danny Yam, who was the owner of 28 Chinese restaurant in Branxton. He comes with over three decades of experience working in kitchens all around Australia and is currently a chef at Mellow Bistro in Maitland.
The book Chopsticks or Fork?: Recipes and Stories from Australia’s Regional Chinese Restaurants, is in stock in the Gallery Store and Jennifer Wong will be available to sign copies after the event.
