Chinese Restaurant Playground is a multimedia exhibition about childhood, imaginative play, and finding joy within the frenetic settings of a family-run Chinese restaurant located in Branxton NSW.
“Having served customers for over 40 years in the Hunter Valley, my parents’ Chinese restaurant was the backdrop of my childhood. Through animation, illustration, sculpture, and archival photographs and videos, this exhibition documents my memories as a child of Malaysian-Chinese restaurant owners in Branxton.” – Steffie Yee
