Colour Workshop with Fizzics

Colour Workshop with Fizzics

Overview

Explore the visible light spectrum, learn how white light splits into colours and how light mixing influences what we see. Through exciting experiments, investigate colour addition and subtraction, luminescence under UV light, and why sunsets appear red.

From making coloured shadows and hovering images to classifying materials by how they interact with light, uncover the science behind everyday optical effects. Dive into animation with zoetropes and flipbooks, build simple telescopes to explore refraction and reflection, and test how well you perceive the colour spectrum.

The adventure continues with a look at how light powers modern technologies like optical fibre, and includes fun with colour-changing chemical reactions and illusions.

Perfect for curious young minds, have a blast learning all about how colour works in everyday life.
