Household Chemical CleanOut
Overview
Maitland residents can drop off a number of household chemicals free of charge to the Cleanaway Refinery, 41 Kyle Street, Rutherford on Sunday 18 June between 9.00am and 3.30pm.
Materials which can be dropped off at the Chemical CleanOut include:
- Garden chemicals
- Pool chemicals
- Household cleaners
- Poisons
- Batteries
- Paint
- Motor oils and fuels
- Fluoro lights
- Gas bottles
- Fire extinguishers
- Smoke detectors
You can take household quantities of the above household chemicals and items, up to a maximum of 20 litres or 20 kilograms of a single item. Please transport your materials carefully and remain in your vehicle at the collection site.
