To the outside world Dudley and Joan Doherty were an ordinary family with three children. Then they made the extraordinary decision to tell their young children that they were spies bringing their children into the fold that saw them memorising car number plates, spotting unusual behaviour and most importantly not drawing attention to themselves.

Author and journalist Sandra Hogan is joined by Sue-Ellen, one of the Doherty children, for a conversation about growing up, writing a book and revealing a decades old secret to the world.
