Overview

We encourage Maitland residents to spread the Christmas cheer through light, colour, and celebration. The competition will open from 13 November to 10 December 2023, so start the conversation with your neighbours to get the ball rolling on lighting up your street this Christmas.

The winning street will be bestowed a sign recognising their status as this year’s Best Christmas Lights Street winner and a $200 voucher to go towards a street BBQ! The best dressed streets will also be added to an interactive map for the community to explore in the lead up to Christmas.

Please note, this competition is open to all residents living in Maitland. Entrants must be an owner or tenant of a property on the street, and be authorised to submit photos and details of the street. Entrants must be over 18 years old. For the purposes of the competition, ‘street’ may be classified as an individual house, a cluster of houses, or the entire street. Any of these classifications are eligible to be entered into the competition.
