The Perfect Hollow
Overview
Tree hollows play a vital role in supporting many of our native animals—from gliders and owls to quolls and bees. Come along for a fun and informative morning where you’ll discover how these special spaces support our wildlife.
Take a guided nature walk around the East Maitland library park as we search for signs of hollow homes and gather materials for our creative art session.
Our friends from the Environment and Sustainability team will also share their incredible work supporting hollow-dwelling species and you can learn how nest boxes are helping fill the gap.
Finish up a beautiful morning creating a nature collaged artwork celebrating the animals that call these tree hollows home.
Free family event.
Suitable for all ages.
