Upcycled Stories with Sarah Chisholm Artist in Residence

Overview

Do you have a favorite piece of clothing, a tablecloth or a scarf that has a lot of memories? Then join this year’s Artist In Residence, Sarah Chisholm. Learn how to create a simple weave using upcycled fabric as your yarn.

During this workshop, participants will explore a story in their family or local community through weaving.

Materials provided, upcycled frames and weaving tools. Materials to bring: a piece of fabric or clothing that tells a story; that you’re happy to cut up and a small selection of upcycled wool or threads. Optional: bring along an old photo or slide that is part of the story.

See you at historic Brough House for a fun and engaging event.
