Zines

Zine Workshop for Senior Students

Overview

Join Bastian Fox Phelan, writer, zinemaker and curator of the upcoming Eco Zine project in this fun, hands-on zine-making workshop.

Zines are do-it-yourself magazines, made using paper, scissors, and the humble photocopier. In this workshop, the focus is on your thoughts and feelings about nature and the local environment, sustainability, and climate change. Bastian will run through the basics of zine making and show you how to make a mini zine as well as an A5 booklet zine.

This workshop is for anyone with an interest in writing, drawing, collage, storytelling, and all things creative. Participants will be invited to submit their zines to the exhibition that opens in September at Maitland Regional Art Gallery.
