Reimagining Histories: Artist in Residence

Reimagining Histories : Artist in Residence

Overview

Newcastle artist, Sarah Chisholm, the 2025 Artist in Residence at National Trust’s Brough House, will be holding the culminating exhibition of her residency at Brough House.

Sarah uses discarded objects, pre-loved fabrics and hand-me-down yarns to reimagine stories from the past. Taking inspiration from the twin properties, Grossmann and Brough Houses, the Collection and gardens, Sarah is interpreting their stories through fibre and installation.
