This year’s theme, Living in an Uncertain World, asks us to reflect on how we deal with the unknowns around us. From career choices to politics and the environment, uncertainty shapes our lives. Philosophy offers tools to make sense of these challenges and to live wisely, even when answers aren’t clear.
Professor Colyvan, Professor of Philosophy at the University of Sydney and Honorary Professor of Philosophy at ANU, will unpack decision-making under uncertainty. With humour and clarity, he’ll explore its strengths and limits, and how it can guide us toward better, more ethical choices when the future is cloudy.
