Event Attraction

Maitland City Council is committed to working with local businesses, community and sporting groups to attract events to Maitland. A range of assistance is available.

Maitland City Council recognises the social and economic benefits of hosting events in our beautiful city and their vital role in attracting over 708,000 visitors to Maitland each year.

In line with Maitland’s Destination Management Plan and Council’s Delivery Plan 2022-2026, Council is particularly interested in attracting significant sporting and cultural events to the area.

Whether you are looking for assistance preparing a bid, want to know what funding opportunities are available, or are seeking a letter of support from Council, there is a range of assistance for event organisers.
