Capture the Flag Cybersecurity Challenge

Capture the Flag Cybersecurity Challenge

Overview

This Youth Week, cyber experts from Maitland City Council’s ICT are launching a Capture the Flag cybersecurity challenge!

If you’ve ever been curious about hacking (the good, legal kind!), this is your chance to jump in and test your skills in a safe, supportive environment designed especially for young people.

Get ready for some serious online fun as you tackle challenges in cryptography, web exploitation, forensics and more. Each task is intentionally built to be “hacked,” giving you hands-on experience solving real-world style problems – completely legally, of course!

Running for the entire duration of Youth Week, it’s the perfect opportunity to sharpen your skills, think like a cyber detective, and see if you can capture the flag.

Free event. Registration essential. Link will be shared on our Facebook Page when the challenge is live.

Why not go the whole hog? Join us for our Capture the Flag Launch Party Friday 17 April at East Maitland library.

And if you need some tips and support, check out our free drop-in sessions throughout the week.

Challenge launching Friday 17 April.

Suitable for children aged 12 and over.
