High School Poetry Workshop with Olivia De Zilva
Overview
Maitland libraries is welcoming Olivia de Zilva, author of the highly acclaimed Plastic Budgie, for a series of poetry workshops designed especially for high school students from years 9-12.
Olivia is a fresh voice on the poetry scene, with a forthcoming collection called Sick Note. Hilarious and original, Olivia will encourage students to look at the everyday world around them in incredible new ways, whilst helping them hone their writing skills.
Students will also have the opportunity to join Maitland libraries on the day, helping to ensure they have access to not only their own school library, but the community libraries around Maitland.
Free event. Suitable for students from years 9-12. Teachers are required to remain with students during the workshop.
