Quilts and Bedspreads Display at Grossmann House
Overview
Grossmann House museum tours now feature a brand new exhibition in the Costume Display Room. Taking the place of the Yellow Dresses, is a wonderful collection of quilts and bedspreads. These are displayed in the showcases but also throughout the house. Tours will be available and bookings on Eventbrite are recommended.
While on the property, don’t miss the free exhibition of Art and Written Works done by children from kindergarten through to high school as part of the Reconciliation NSW Schools Challenge themed ‘Under One Sky’. These works are thought provoking, vibrantly coloured, and reflect the history, hopes and dreams of both Indigenous and non-Indigenous New South Wales children.
Also on site are the Fibre-makers Space, the Maitland Regional Museum, and the Museum of History & Clothing in Brough House.
Homemade refreshments will be available seated in the garden or on the verandah.
