Maitland Countryside Drive

Overview

This is a picturesque drive taking in the sweeping scenic view and farmlands of Maitland. Starting in Lochinvar, shortly after turning off the New England Highway you will cross the Luskintyre Bridge, the setting for the explosive finale of the film ‘Tomorrow, When the War Began’. A visit to the cellar door of Tranquil Vale Vineyard, Maitland’s only operational vineyard is highly recommended, before continuing on your journey through the rural outskirts of the city. A final stop at Bolwarra Lookout, provides spectacular views over the city and farmlands, before snaking your way through Largs and across the bridge to Morpeth.
