Boys Weekend

Overdue for a weekend away with the boys? Why not Make It Maitland for your next trip.

ARRIVE AND UNWIND

Once you’ve wrapped up work for the week, make your way to East Maitland, and check in at The Windsor Castle Hotel. After dropping of your bags the team at the bar will be only too happy to pour you a nice cold beer while you wait for the rest of the crew to arrive.

After grabbing a bite to eat, it’s time to head to Maitland Gaol. The former maximum security facility now offers a range of tours and activities for both public and private groups.

If you’re not yet ready to call it a day, Maitland has a number of unique venues at your disposal. The Pourhouse and The Whistler both offer a diverse range of craft beer for you to enjoy, whilst The Cult of the Scorpion serve a range of rum and cocktails in a unique setting.

A SWING AND A STROLL

Start the day off on the right foot, and head to Teale Café for an early feed. Serving breakfast till 11.30am, and only a short stroll around the corner from your accommodation.

After breakfast, it’s time to dust off the old clubs and head to Easts Leisure and Golf for 18 holes. Water comes in to play on a number of holes, particularly on the back nine, so it’d bound to be entertaining.

Following a quick trip back to the accommodation to freshen up, it’s time to head into town for a final night out. The Grand Junction Hotel provides a real local feel and is a popular spot for live music, whilst the recently renovated Belmore Hotel has the biggest beer garden in Maitland.

FAREWELL FEED

Before heading back to reality, be sure to fuel up with a farewell feed at one of Maitland’s many cafés. The Rigby comes highly recommended, with a menu sure to satisfy your cravings.

We acknowledge the Wonnarua People as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land within the Maitland Local Government Area. We pay respect to all Aboriginal Elders, past, present and future with a spiritual connection to these lands.
